Split decision. 1 star for cost$$$. 5 star for service. Technician identified likely cause as faulty defrost system and wrote up an estimate; $1627 parts + $350 labor. Since it's a $14K Monogram refrigerator that hadn’t been holding temp for more than a week I OK’d the service. I was shocked however when the technician returned from his car with a small envelop of parts (see photo). The technician completed the repair quickly but the unsophisticated and inexpensive appearance of the parts bothered me. I found out later these parts (defrost heater, temp sensor, fan motor, thermostat cutoff) total about $300 if ordered from any appliance supply. I could understand a 50% or 100% markup for having parts on hand. 450% seems unreasonable. If you're OK with this is your repair outfit.
