Absolutely unacceptable experience at VIDA Steakhouse in Steinway

Absolutely unacceptable experience at VIDA Steakhouse in Steinway. We made a reservation for a specific time and were still forced to wait an hour and a half before being seated. To make it worse, we were required to pay for the reservation, yet that payment clearly meant nothing. What exactly are customers paying for if reservations aren’t honored?

The manager was completely incomprehensible, dismissive, and unhelpful throughout the entire situation. Instead of taking accountability, we were met with attitude and had to argue over food prices, which should never happen at any restaurant, let alone one that pretends to be upscale.

The food was disappointing and nowhere near worth the inflated prices. On top of that, some of the waitstaff were arrogant rather than professional, making the entire atmosphere uncomfortable. Between the paid reservation, the excessive wait, the poor management, and the terrible service, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Save your money and your time this place is not worth either. This review isn’t coming from spite, just genuine disappointment, they have the potential to be a decent spot, but the way it’s managed completely ruins the experience.
