Day trip Toodyay on a winter's Saturday. Choose The Rec for lunch over other venues despite having heard not great things. Should have listened. It was a bustling Saturday lunch service, however lack of staff made it feel much busier. Took over one hour for 2 burgers to arrive to our table. Mine was inedible - patty burnt on the edges and raw in the middle. Thankfully the chips were fresh and hot. Would not recommend. HAPPY UPDATE Brendan from The Rec has contacted me via phone and apologised for my experience. There had been an unexpected issue in the kitchen.
