My partner recently purchased a car from this dealership, and while everything seemed smooth initially, the pickup process turned into a frustrating ordeal.
We were told the car was ready, but upon pickup, we were asked to return on Monday for "photos." This meant another three-hour drive from Wangaratta. We were assured the process would take about an hour, but after waiting for an hour and a half, we were informed it wasn't done yet. Two hours later, we finally received the keys and were told everything was fine. However, just as we reached the highway, we got a call from Macca requesting the car be returned.
Given my partner's upcoming night shift, this was highly inconvenient. We went back, and Macca took the car to the mechanic, but getting updates was a constant struggle. Despite explaining our time constraints, we were told it might not be ready by the close of business.
We were given a loan car, but it had an empty fuel tank and a large crack in the windshield—making it unsafe for the drive back. Macca suggested we take it and return again, but that wasn’t a reasonable option. Eventually, we retrieved our car and headed home, but more problems surfaced.
The car was purchased on 24/04, and we were informed that the roadworthy certificate (RWC) had been completed. However, we weren’t given the certificate until 01/05—despite it expiring on 30/04. We also weren’t told the registration expired on 27/04, causing further issues. Repeated follow-ups with Macca were needed to get this resolved, with constant reassurances that he was “working on it,” only for it to take nearly 15 days instead of the promised 14.
Before receiving the keys, my partner was pressured into leaving a Google review. After the experience, he updated it to reflect what actually happened. Macca then repeatedly called and texted my partner, insisting he change the review. However, we will not be modifying it, no matter how many calls or messages we receive.
