Shady sales practices

Review of Grand Auto Dealership

Shady sales practices. They took advantage of my friend because he didn't speak english and never provided him clear information of lease term. The physical documents had no information of 0f the terms for what he received by email. This is predatory and disgraceful. I will be reporting you tomorrow the BBB.

***Update***

To the dealership:

Your response lacks integrity and deliberately misrepresents what occurred. Your sales reps were aggressive and did not accept the e-bike when it was returned within 24 hours. We have video evidence of your sales representatives refusing the return and leaving the e-bike unsecured in the parking lot.

Here are the facts:

You control the terms. Your statement that "the bank decides" and you "do not control lending terms" is false. Federal law and standard business practice acknowledge that dealerships are compensated for arranging financing, a practice known as a "dealer reserve." You and the finance company are responsible for the predatory rates and the abusive process. You failed your legal obligations.

Your sales process violated multiple laws designed to protect consumers from deceptive practices:

Failure to provide clear disclosures: According to the federal Truth in Lending Act (TILA), you were required to provide clear and meaningful disclosures of all credit terms before the contract was signed. This is further evidence of deceptive and unfair conduct.

Unfair and deceptive acts: Under the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA), it is unlawful to engage in acts that are deceptive, unconscionable, or unfair. Using a language barrier to obtain a signature on a contract that dramatically inflates the price is a textbook example of this.

No informed consent: You failed to obtain express, informed consent for the charges. Your salesperson should have verbally explained that a $4,000 bike would result in a $16,000 total payment, not obfuscated the process by relying on an online application.

We have all the documentation necessary to prove our claims. We will be reporting your fraudulent sales tactics and public lies to the Florida Attorney General, the Better Business Bureau, and other relevant authorities. We encourage other consumers to avoid this business.
