While Lerner & Rowe ultimately obtained a settlement, the process was far more frustrating and opaque than I expected. Communication throughout my case was inconsistent, often requiring repeated follow-ups to obtain basic information or written explanations. I frequently felt like I had to advocate for myself simply to understand how numbers were being calculated.

In addition, I personally had to obtain critical documentation that I expected the firm to handle. Over the course of two separate visits, I spent several cumulative hours waiting at the City of Phoenix Police Department public records office to secure the official police reports documenting the crash and incident, which I then provided to the firm. This was time-consuming and unexpected in the context of retaining legal representation.

As settlement approached, a significant portion of the proceeds went to medical providers and firm costs, leaving me with a comparatively modest net recovery in a policy-limited case. I repeatedly requested written documentation showing negotiations with the largest medical provider and justification for administrative and miscellaneous fees. What I received was limited and relied heavily on verbal agreements rather than clear, written confirmation. Requests to waive discretionary internal fees — despite the case resolving without litigation, discovery, or motion practice — were refused.

The overall impression was that closing the file efficiently took priority over transparency and client confidence. I ultimately accepted the outcome to avoid further delay, not because my concerns were meaningfully addressed.

I am not alleging legal misconduct, but I do believe prospective clients should understand that this is a high-volume operation. If you choose this firm, be prepared to closely monitor your case, ask detailed questions, and handle more of the legwork than you might expect, including document procurement.
